Stop the palestinian landgrab

Dear Friend,

I am reaching out to you about something that is very close to my heart- the Jewish character of the Land of Israel. Recently, Amnon, a resident of the Jewish village of Bat Ayin in Judea, told me that the Palestinian Arabs are trying to take over Israel State-owned land by planting trees and grapevines. The law of the land is that he who plants trees owns the land.

Palestinians often use international funding to try to change the facts on the ground. They want control as much of the Holy Land as possible, especially if there should ever be a “peace deal”. Amnon said,
“If I had the money, I’d plant 2,000 olive trees today to ensure that as much of Israel remains in Jewish hands.”

Amnon spoke to my heart. The Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria is so important to me and I am sure to you also. After 2,000 years of the land not being in the hands of its God given inheritors, we must do everything we can to stay in control of it.

Amnon explained to me the challenges of planting so many trees. To plant trees in the wilderness, one must use mature trees so that they can survive Israel’s harsh weather, wild animals and Arabs who may try to uproot them. The land needs preparation and an irrigation system installed. There is much more involved than just digging a hole and planting a sapling. Amnon is willing to work hard. He just needs the funds.

Though the media focuses on the terrorism we face in Israel, the residents of Judea and Samaria are fighting a different struggle, yet just as important. They are fighting to keep the actual land, the soil, the earth of the Land of Israel in the hands of God’s chosen children.

I am reaching out to you. Please help us stop the land grab and ensure a Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria by planting trees in these crucial locations.
